The 9 Streets area
The historical streets are filled with cosy lunch rooms, boutique shops, antique stores, restaurants and charming terraces. The Dutch name for this area is De 9 Straatjes, which means: The 9 little streets. You can enter the area just behind The Royal Palace (Dam Square) and stroll through the small streets between the main canals Singel, Herengracht, Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht.
