Rembrandt Square area
Rembrandtplein (Rembrandt Square) is located within the canal belt and nearby the Amstel river. A huge statue of Rembrandt with in front of him bronze sculptures of his most famous painting, The Night Watch, are situated in the centre of the square. But most of all the plaza and its surrounding side streets are popular for the nightlife and entertainment in the many clubs, cafes and bars.

When you walk towards the Reguliersbreestraat and cross Muntplein, the long shopping street Kalverstraat starts, where you will find the low-priced (department) stores V&D, Xenos, H&M and Hema.
